"DON'T FORGET YOUR JACKET"

A review of Bengal Spice by Sarah written on Monday 31st of March 2008

I visited the Bengal Spice restaurant in Holloway on a very chilly Easter Monday evening with a relative. Granted we arrived just after opening time, but we still couldn't believe how cold it was in there. The heating wasn't switched on when we arrived, nor indeed when we left over an hour later. Our comments as to the lack of heating were ignored by the waiters - they simply said they had only just opened up - and we had to resort to putting our coats and scarfs back on - as did the couple at the next table. The food was passable, but we were so cold that we couldn't possibly enjoy it. In light of this, I would hesitate to recommend it to any of my friends or family..
