A review of Eurosport TV Channel by Robin Sykes written on Tuesday 9th of September 2008
Eurosport is the best T&F coverage in particular because it has no boring trackside interviews and no exorbitantly paid studio guests. But what(or how much?) would it cost to get Tim Hutchings to complete a sentence,JUST ONE SENTENCE without telling us someone's age? Lane 1 the 21yr old lane 2 the 22yr old,now 21 now 22,just 21 just 22 etc.etc.He even started to tell us the age of all the MARATHON runners!Since they're invariably all in their 20s anyway what's the point? If a 98yr old turns up,OK.
He is just physically incapable of completeing a sentence without mentioning someone's age. It's got to the stage now where clubmates 'open a book' to see how long it wil be before he mentions someone's age(the record,I think,is 6secs)Talk about Chines Water torture! Martin Gilingham is far more informative and rarely mentions age.Arrange for Tim to be on holiday next year at Berlin and we'll watch Eurosport with the sound turned UP!.
