"Not the very cheapest but not the most expensive either"

I found Holloway Cycles to be very reasonable.

Compared to Halfords - who took two weeks and repeated visists to "service" my bike by actually seeming to make it worse...Holloway cycles gave me the benefit of their own clear enthusiasm for cycling. They explained the difference between the slightly more expensive tyres they recommended and the cheaper ones but conversely didn't push me into buying top of the range gears for a bike that will be coming to the end of it's working life in the next few years anyway. .
