Fitchetts Court

City. (EC2) On the east side of Noble Street, City. "Fitche's Court hath pretty good houses, with inhabitants answerable. At the upper end is an old timber-house, where formerly Tichborn, sometime Alderman and Lord Mayor, dwelt. This house strangely escaped burning in the dreadful Fire of London, when all the houses round about it were quite consumed." (Reference: Strype's Stow, Bk. III, p. 121)
