Oxford Court

City, 109, Cannon Street. (EC4) Here is the hall of the Salters' Company, built in 1827. On the site of this Court stood the Inn of the Priors of Tortington, Sussex, which subsequently gave place to the mansion of the De Veres, Earls of Oxford, from whom Oxford Court derives its name. (Reference: Jesse's London, vol. II, p. 387) Here also is the London Chamber of Commerce, etc.
