St. Jamess Place


Westminster. (SW1) Built in 1694. The houses remain nearly the same as they were in the days of Queen Anne. Here Addison had a house, also Thomas Parnell, the poet. Here also, in 1728, died the learned White Kennet, Bishop of Peterborough. (Reference: Jesse's London, vol. I, p. 73)
