Truc Vert restaurant in London's sleek Mayfair almost started the restaurant-plus-deli concept. With the rustic charm of a French fisherman's hut, honest, unpretentious Truc Vert is named for an unspoiled Gallic beach. The Medi-French menus change so frequently they're almost spontaneous, featuring fine ingredients simply prepared that deliver vibrant flavour. Packed at lunchtime with local workers, Truc Vert goes slightly uptown in the evenings for romantic dinners with white table linens and glowing candles. Tables on the pavement are great for people-watching and you can bundle up some goodies from the deli counter before you go. Wine tasting evenings are popular too.

Starter

- Truc vert roast butternut squash soup with olive oil and parmegiano regiano
- Pan fried scallops with asparagus, leeks, shallots and tomato & coriander salsa (sup £3.00)
- Warm smoked chicken salad with asparagus, semi dried tomatoes, roquette leaves and plum sauce
- Fresh buffalo mozzarella with roast peppers, grilled courgettes, roquette leaves and basil pesto
- Scottish smoked salmon carpaccio with frisee salad and lemon oil

Main Course

- Pan fried Barbary duck breast with sweet potatoes, sauté cabbage, spice chorizo and rosa harissa (sup £3.00)
- Grilled Toulouse sausages with spinach mash potato and red onion jus
- Grilled marinated pork steak with roast red onion, mushroom, honey roasted figs and balsamic dressing
- Grilled French corn fed chicken breast with tomatoes, avocado and feta cheese salad & balsamic vinegar
- Pan fried sea bass fillet with pak-choi, fennel, roast peppers and saffron butter sauce (sup£3.00)
- Spaghetti with tiger prawns, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil and fresh herbs
- Grilled tuna steak with Truc Vert nicoise style salad and olive oil
- Roast aubergine and brie risotto with extra virgin olive oil and parmegiano regiano
- Truc Vert mixed grilled vegetables plate with organic extra virgin olive oil and fresh herbs
