I would just like to reflect on my time at Fossdene Rd School. My brother Tony started there in 1947, his teacher was an old lady called Mrs.Cole. I myself (Maurice Occleshaw) started in 1951 at the "nursery" end in the left hand end of the school, loking from the entrance in Victoria Way. That entrance had amodel of a policeman on the gate with a big hand sayin "Stop". However this was gone when I went back in 1982, however I arrived in Charlton on a Saturday, and the school was not open. Would have loved to peep inside. The only teacher I can remember was a young lady at the time, a Miss White. I can remember sitting crass legged on the floor in rows, singing :-

"Number one, number two, number three" etc up to 100, while old Mrs Cole played the piano.Anyone got photos? to Ph+61-39-530-4206 .
