"The good /excellent, and the rip off!"

The Irish Tourist Board sent me an excellent package on Western Ireland; with maps, places to stay, and see.

I had a lovely time in a lovely part of the island.

However the Irish Tourist Board need to take up with some hotels the question of payment. I was charged in sterling at a very poor rate of exchange and to add insult to injury 3 percent conversion charge; even though I told the receptionist I wished to pay in Euros and assured that this is how it would appear on my credit card staement. This was in a very large hotel on the outskirts of Dublin having a huge extension built which I now feel as though I have contributed to!

This leaves a very poor impression of being ripped off. It is very hard to gain a good reputation and very easy to gain a bad one. .
