I agree with the comment that going to Hype Coiffure is very much hit and miss. I have been going on and off for the last 10 years and sometimes I leave the salon feeling that my hair has been touched by the best and other times I could have got a better experience somewhere cheaper. I think it is very dependant on getting the right stylist - at Balham Chester and Shalina are great. However on the weekends the shop is often too busy and you are left waiting far too long. This is often not the fault of the stylists - but the person in charge of making the bookings! Battersea I find to be a lot more calmer and professional. All stylists seem to be equally good. The junior staff wash your hair properly (opposed to Balham one wash and one shampoo rule) Staff are still busy but are keen to ensure that you are not waiting around. Also, you are greeted by a warm receptionist rather than Ann's surliness. .
