"Springfield Hall was my childhood."

Just having read ‘Memories of a Springfield Hall 1948-1958’ it’s could literally have been the story of my childhood. I too lived in Brooklands Road and Brooklands Street. I did everything that the writer did and remember It still. I often tell my husband about the ‘Rock’ and have said it would be great to see it now just to see how my memories of it differ from the real thing. There’s not much point in me describing my version of the Hall as it would be word for word the same, right down to the oxo crisps. It’s true Griff was a wonderful man, I’ve never forgotten him. I could say it brought back memories but I’ve never forgotten..
