I started work out there in 1975. I had watched Angelo Parisi do a show on bodybuilding on the BBC and found out that his gym was at 324 Eastcote Lane. I was nervous about starting but Phil was running the gym then and he was great with me and got me started. I didn't come back for month so he wondered what had happened to me but I caught the gym bug. I stayed there for about 4 years by which time Dave Wing had bought the gym. I have very found memories. I think I remember the name Raj; there also a dentist who worked out there at the time. I moved to the U.S. in 1980 and came back for a nostaglic work out in the 90's some time. I was sad to see the gym boarded up in 2019 (a fire, I think), when I last went by there. Now it is Hot Rooster. Oh well times change!.
